mhm

mhm, mhm, mhm, mmmmmhm!

Eddache responds:

I'm also saying "biggerboatbiggerboatbiggerboat"

hmmm

i can tell that you have more technical skill than most people on this site, with at least some understanding of harmony (although the track gets rather dissonant at certain parts). I would be interested in hearing what you could make with some better software. Fl studio is the standard around here, and a good one to try if you are new to recording

SirKoto51 responds:

Thanks for the review, I'm actually still pretty new at music composing and well... Not very good at it, basically i can just make simple loops like this. I actually use Cakewalk ver. 5 I think, and like you said it's not state of the art or anything. The software is more like garageband, it just has an MIDI program on it. I do appreciate your honest feedback. Thanks :D

daaamn

this is (goa- ish) psytrance done right.

UltraPitchFork responds:

thank you

yeah it's quite goa-ish

good, but...

nice, I downloaded the original so long ago its great to see ur still around! I enjoyed this mix, but it just felt slightly "off". for one, watch your use of compressors, the leads seem too quiet at points, and just don't act in the way that they should.

I don't mean to sound overly critical, your stuff is great

RealityVictim responds:

nah im the type of guy who loves honesty and constructive criticism. Thanks, yeah that compressors were hard to deal with, i'm not the best at EQing lol. It was tough to even get it leveled this much. But yeah I have an album on Itunes now so if you want check it out and buy it maybe? =]

not bad

Im guessing you never played the NES version of the game, which WAS made in the 80's, and it sounds almost exactly like this! Nice work ^__^

potato12 responds:

yeah....I've only played the remake that came out on the gameboy advanced (kirby: nightmare in dreamland)

Not bad

Its good that it doesnt get repetitive as so many 8 bit songs tend to. Overall i think its good, all of the synths blend nicely together, although the end of the song feels so unsatisfying, it just leaves you wanting more >.<

nightsurfermusic responds:

Hehe, Wanting more? Sure, more it is. :P

Thanks for reviewing! I'll get around to a song of yours. :)

awesome

I'de like to know what synth you are using to get that cool lead sound.

DJPureSuffer responds:

3x Osc Rave Lead with flanger, delay, filter, and reeverb

Best thing ever

Truly you are the voice of a generation, now pass the blunt this way, goyim!

ImativeClock responds:

Alright, i'll roll the pot of gold, and we'll get blaaaazed

my achy breaky eardrums

you broke them... but here is a couple words of advice; real pianos dont have pitchbend capabilities, and not everything needs distortion. Also, ditch FL slayer completely, its really noticable.

ImativeClock responds:

heres a suggestion.Take a look at my other submissions and tell me how serious you think i am.

Ahem....

You just tweaked one of the FL Studio demo songs.... and not very well I might add.

Mans0n responds:

well i thought i did a good job, only used a few elements from the original songs so idc
xD

I love making music, you love listening to music... we have a symbiotic relationship already! Lets make this a learning experience for both of us. I use Fruity Loops to make all my music, and I dont really make techno.
